REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OB – Obstetrics Acute
Contract position with Talent raged Medical Solutions. Auto Offer EPIC BACKFILL, Day Shift 36 or 48 hrs per week. Floating required to Bakersfield as needed. Unit bed count:
9. Staffing:
Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.
Schedule:
No call required; willing to be on call is appreciated. Floating to other units: no within AHDL, yes to AHBD L&D. Weekend coverage: 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. EMR:
Cerner/Surginet. No IV or Lift Teams. Phlebotomy available when needed. No transport team. Unit secretary: coverage depends on census. No in‑house OB hospitalist. Special equipment:
Natus hearing screen, Neptune waste management in OR, standing transfer device, Feta Link. 24/7 CRNA coverage. No NICU on campus.
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs activities of various levels of nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Job Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
- Acute care facility experience – Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – Required
- CPR or BLS / HS‑BLS / RQI‑BLS certification from approved vendor – Required
- AHA‑BLS or ARC‑BLS – Required
- AHA‑NRP or ARC‑NALS – Required
- S.T.A.B.L.E certification – Required
- AHA‑ACLS or ARC‑ALS – Required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) – Required
- Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
- Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
- Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes; identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
- Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.
- Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
- Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
