Provide obstetric acute care to admitted patients with focus on safety and outcomes.
Perform comprehensive obstetric assessments and monitor fetal wellbeing.
Administer medications and manage urgent obstetric events per protocol.
Respond to emergencies with rapid assessment and appropriate intervention.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and update care plans.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
Monitor and uphold infection control standards and patient safety.
Assist in triaging obstetric admissions to optimize throughput and patient flow.
Educate patients and families on pregnancy, labor, and postnatal care.
Contribute to performance metrics through accurate reporting and quality indicators.
Participate in professional development activities to advance clinical expertise.
Experience/QualificationsRegistered Nurse with current obstetric acute care license and credentials.
Proven ability to perform comprehensive obstetric assessments and fetal monitoring.
Experience in urgent obstetric event management and emergency response.
Commitment to infection control, patient safety, and adherence to protocols.
Proficient in medication administration per obstetric protocols and safety standards.
Strong documentation skills in electronic health records and quality reporting.
Ability to triage obstetric admissions and optimize patient throughput.
Participation in performance metrics, quality indicators, and professional development.
Excellent teamwork with multidisciplinary staff and independent accountability.
Patient and family education on pregnancy, labor, and postnatal care.
