Quality Control Specialist – Field Operations

Location:

All Ag Wise Farming Operations

Operations Managers and Executive Leadership

Collaborates With:
Assistant Managers, Foremen, Field Staff, and Safety Manager

Ag-Wise Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to oversee and measure results across all farm field operations. This role ensures that agricultural practices meet company standards for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. The Quality Control Specialist will play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on operational performance, supporting continuous improvement, and safeguarding product quality from field to harvest.

• Field Operations Monitoring
• Conduct quality control checks on winter sanitation (NOW mummy control), pesticide applications, irrigations, and fertilizer programs.
• Sampling & Analysis
• Collect and evaluate leaf tissue samples, soil samples, and water samples to ensure proper nutrient and environmental balance.
• Perform harvest almond quality analysis to verify product standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to shut down production based on their own analysis at any time
• Scheduling & Reporting
• Develop and maintain a quality control schedule for each farm, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all analyses.
• Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to managers, assistant managers, foremen, and field staff.
• Work under the direction of Operations Managers while coordinating closely with Assistant Managers, Foremen, Field Staff, and the Safety Manager to implement corrective actions and maintain compliance.
• Compliance & Safety
• Ensure all quality control activities align with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Support the Safety Manager in identifying risks and promoting safe practices during field operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in agricultural quality control, farm operations, or crop management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and report data accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple farms and schedules simultaneously.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across management levels and field staff.
• Knowledge of almond production and industry standards is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work extended hours during periods of the year
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
• Current and valid drivers license

• Provide actionable insights to management for operational improvements.
