Position: Machine Operator A CNCS, 2nd Shift

Machine Operator A / CNC South

Micro Precision LLC is a precision machining company located in Delavan, WI. This position is offered on a full‑time basis with custom part‑time shifts available.

Position Purpose

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Operator will operate machines to manufacture a variety of standard parts and details to close tolerances and finish requirements.

Salary & Shift

Salary Range: $22‑$27 hourly DOE.

Shift: 3:00 pm – 1:00 am (second shift premium of $2.25 per hour).

Essential Functions
  • Receive work assignments including drawings, sequence of operations, and machine requirements such as feeds, speeds, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Adjust and operate machines to perform progressive machining operations.
  • Select and prepare correct part(s) and load into machine.
  • Operate machines through manipulating levers, hand wheels, engaging power, and adjusting coolant flow while observing operations and checking dimensions.
  • Remove burs and chips after operation.
Responsibilities
  • Perform close tolerance machining operations such as centering, drilling, reaming, tapping, turning, milling, deburr, filing, or sanding.
  • Operate multiple machines within the same shift.
  • Adjust operations based on supervisor approval to compensate for material or machining variations.
  • Dress, grind, or sharpen tools as necessary.
  • Lubricate machines with oil, grease, and coolant.
  • Work from drawings, specifications, and job layouts using measuring instruments.
  • Make machine and tool adjustments as needed.
  • Obtain and return tools as required.
  • Learn to make offsets and change tooling.
  • Maintain cutting tools in proper working order.
  • Check parts per specification and complete required documentation including tags, process sheets, and timecards.
  • Continuously seek quality improvements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform all assignments safely.
  • Demonstrate integrity and accountability.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English instructions.
  • Perform basic math calculations.
  • Meet established production levels.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Vision: correctable or non‑correctable short‑range, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
  • Comply with all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
