- Concast Technician in Delavan, WI starting at $22.00/hr. dependent on experience
- Shift Premium $2.50 for second shift
- $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS OPPORTUNITY
Produce metal castings and continuous cast bar stock.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities- Prepare concast unit equipment for a specific metal continuous casting operation.
- Prepare and set up sandcast molds for proprietary discreet casting operation.
- Melting and pouring of molten metals.
- Knock out sand castings.
- Weigh and prepare metal charges.
- Measure and record pertinent data.
- Cut off and dress finish castings.
- Operate band saws and various power tools.
- Operate and monitor all functions of the continuous casting operation.
- Assemble, install, and align dies in preparation for a continuous casting operation.
- Operate Fork Truck.
- Operate chip drier.
- Operate bridge crane.
- Assist with other miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
- Ability to work in extreme heat temperatures.
- Ability to read, write, and process all instructions, written or verbal.
- Ability to use lifting and moving equipment as required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Quality oriented mindset, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to complete all tasks in a safe and accurate manner.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and alter hours as business needs dictate.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in foundry or manufacturing experience preferred.
