Rapido Talent is partnering confidentially with a growing precision manufacturer in southeastern Wisconsin to hire a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer.
This role exists because the company continues to expand its machining capabilities, invest in new equipment, and bring increasingly complex work into production. They're looking for someone who enjoys solving real manufacturing problems—not someone who wants to spend every day behind a desk.
You'll work directly with operators, setup machinists, programmers, and leadership to improve machining processes, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement across the shop.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in moving new jobs from concept into efficient, repeatable production.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop manufacturing routings and production processes
- Improve machining efficiency, tooling strategies, and workflow
- Support CNC programming, setup, prove-outs, and production launches
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues on the shop floor
- Evaluate manufacturability, tooling, fixtures, and cycle times
- Conduct process studies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Work closely with machinists, setup technicians, supervisors, and leadership
- Support implementation of new equipment and manufacturing technologies
- Help train and mentor production team members
- Drive process improvements that improve quality, throughput, and consistency
You’ll work in a modern precision machining environment featuring equipment such as:
- Tsugami Swiss CNC Machines
- Star Swiss Machines
- Miyano CNC Lathes
- Mori Seiki CNC Machines
- Doosan CNC Lathes & Mills
- Fanuc Robodrill Machining Centers
- Swiss CNC Machining
- CNC Turning with Live Tooling
- Multi-Axis Machining
- CNC Milling
- Process Development
- Setup & Prove-Outs
- Tooling Optimization
- Precision Machining
- Mastercam (preferred)
- 5–10+ years of manufacturing engineering or machining experience
- Strong hands‑on CNC machining background
- Experience developing manufacturing processes
- CNC setup and troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting new jobs from process development through production
- Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, feeds, speeds, and machining strategy
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Comfortable working on the production floor alongside machinists and operators
- Mastercam programming experience
- Swiss CNC machining experience
- Live tooling experience
- Multi‑axis machining experience
- Medical, aerospace, defense, or other precision manufacturing experience
- Engineering degree (helpful but not required)
