Production Technician​/Back up Material Handler; 2nd shift

This non‑supervisory position, located in Delavan, Wisconsin, will care for all machine‑specific functions such as configuring equipment, loading and operating machines, and optimizing machine capability. Technicians will ensure machines run at full capacity, perform light maintenance, and conduct quality checks to drive profitability and meet KPIs. Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, responsibilities include:

• Perform tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, clean, and complete preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Set up and operate single or multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Check machine output and identify any issues.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications.
• Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and production orders to perform required tasks.
• Verify manufacturing requirements against production orders; check for accuracy, shortages, and damaged material. Detect and report defective material against product specifications. Pull and deliver materials and supplies to designated areas. Maintain records of material and supply movement.
• Deliver raw materials to the machines, as needed, and lead or assist in the setup of raw materials in the manufacturing machines.

• High‑school diploma or GED with at least 6 months of machine‑operating experience and at least 6 months of forklift‑operating experience in an industrial setting. Supplemented by coursework in mechanical systems and basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of machining processes and applicable safety and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome‑oriented objectives; working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN Enterprise) with a holistic viewpoint.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, setting priorities and managing time effectively, and to work independently while managing job orders and deadlines while maintaining awareness of other business dependencies when completing assigned duties.
