Material Handler: Precision Movement & Production Flow

Description

Move and Clean material to and from machine for inspection and recycling. Assist with product flow from cells to the shipping room daily.

Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:

• Comply with all safety regulations.
• Comply with all Quality System requirements.
• Pull Chips from each machine
• Wipe Bar Stock on each machine before loading
• Load stock into each machine
• Transact material from inventory to job, maintain lot traceability
• Complete Daily MH checklist for each machine
• Help in FMD as needed, includes Wash/Tumble/Jayco

Requirements

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • Two years’ experience with responsibilities in material handling or secondary operations of manufacturing. Detail oriented person with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to reach above shoulder and to crouch/bend down to floor level. Lift up to 50 pounds. Push/pull carts weighing up to 350 pounds and be on feet for up to 12 hours a day.
• Computer literate, telephone, e-mail and calculators.
• Able to work with documents and maintain proper lot traceability
• Forklift certification
• Follow the safe practices and housekeeping instructions. Observe ergonomic principles, safe lifting and material handling guidelines.
• Read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Math competency – 8th grade or greater.

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
