Position Title:
Maintenance Technician. Wage: $30.00-$38.00 per hour.
Shift: 1st.
Hours:
5:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
Location:
Delavan, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity on the 1st shift.
Job
Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, facility equipment, and support systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime
- Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Perform machine installations, equipment adjustments, changeovers, and repairs
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Utilize electrical testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Support preventive maintenance schedules and document completed work using CMMS systems
- Assist with equipment upgrades, improvements, and continuous improvement projects
- Perform inspections and identify potential equipment issues before failures occur
- Maintain knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery operation, and safety requirements
- Support facility maintenance activities, including basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs as needed
- Follow all OSHA, safety, quality, and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related technical field
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, and industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment repair
- Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial controls preferred
- Ability to use maintenance tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production teams
- Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
- Preferred technical degree or apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, HVAC, or a related field
- Preferred experience with CMMS maintenance systems
- Preferred welding, fabrication, machining, or HVAC experience
- Preferred experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, electrical equipment, noise, temperature variations, fumes, and other industrial conditions
- Must follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work around machinery and perform maintenance tasks safely
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong visual ability, including close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
