Total Safety is looking for an IPSC Lead Technician to join our safety‑conscious team. The IPSC Lead Technician works under general supervision of the IPSC supervisor/manager and performs various semi‑skilled or skilled tasks in a plant environment, including inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer‑owned or TSUS equipment. The role provides lead working assistance to supervisory and manager staff as required, interfaces with customers regularly, and may exercise direct field supervision over crews engaged in service, maintenance, and/or repair.

• Coordinates and manages equipment in and out of the facility as needs arise.
• Can work as a single person IPSC or as part of a team depending on complexity of work at location.
• Inspects, tests, and maintains safety equipment per manufacturer’s requirements and documents service according to TS/customer policies and procedures.
• Performs complex troubleshooting.
• Ensures appropriate inventory levels and stocks shelves with clean, tested, and ready‑to‑use equipment, pulls, stages, and loads customer orders onto trucks for delivery. Maintains work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition. Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Proficient in issuing, receiving, tracking, inspecting equipment using company/customer‑provided software and provides complex reports.
• Effectively communicates with others and builds rapport with customers quickly.
• Responds to complaints and resolves problems.
• Must work safely and adhere to all TS & customer policies and procedures.

• At least two years of field experience and/or proven ability to lead a work team and/or manage processes and equipment in fire protection, air systems in plant, petrochemical, oil refinery, or related industry. Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance. Must possess a safe driving record and be insurable for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck.
• Forklift experience preferred. Must pass internal forklift certification as required.
• Must have three or more manufacturer’s certifications. Certification requirements may be changed based on years of experience.
• Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and diagnostics on assigned equipment problems and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations.

Plant environment. May be frequently exposed to wet, humid, outside weather conditions and vibration. Works in customer environments and may be exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and plant traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• High School diploma or GED. Associate’s degree, technical or military training strongly preferred.
