Instrument Technician

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install complex instrument and process monitoring equipment.
• Read and interpret schematic drawings, wiring and interconnect diagrams, loop drawings, P&'s, process flow diagrams, logic diagrams, and ISA symbols.
• Diagnose and calibrate flow, level, pressure, differential pressure, and temperature transmitters, transducers, controllers, control valves, and regulators.
• Maintain Allen‑Bradley PLCs, Foxboro Distributed Control Systems – I/A Series, GSI tank level gauging, and safety interlocks.
• Operate diagnostic and test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter, and megger.
• Work as a member of a team, coordinate work, and perform incidental tasks in other crafts.
• Participate in training programs to maintain and/or upgrade skills.
• Work a 12‑hour rotating shift, including weekends, holidays, and optional overtime.

• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• First Class Instrument Mechanic work experience and First Class Instrument Mechanic skills.
• Five (5) years equivalent experience in a refinery or petrochemical operation preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office/Outlook) and experience with SAP.
• Eligibility to qualify for or hold a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC card).
• Ability to coordinate work and function as a member of a team.

• Willingness to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform physically‑active assignments, work on high structures, and in confined spaces.
• Capacity to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

• Written tests and assessments.
• Meeting physical criteria for the job.
• Physical skills demonstration test.
• Post‑offer pre‑employment physical, background check, and drug screening.
