General Service Electrician (GSE)-1
First class industrial electrician with five (5) years’ experience in oil, chemical or petrochemical industries.
Responsibilities- Troubleshooting and repairing substation switch gear, PLCs, motors and lights.
- Bending and installing conduits for circuits and controls.
- Pulling wire and connecting circuits.
- Reading and interpreting ladder logic, schematic drawings (primary and secondary single line drawings).
- Working with diagnostic and test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter and megger.
- Coordinating work and functioning as a team member to complete tasks.
- Performing incidental work across various crafts and participating in training programs to maintain and upgrade skills.
- Using equipment and tools required to expedite efficient installation and repair of refinery equipment.
- Completion of a trades school curriculum; apprenticeship/journeyman or in‑house qualification program for the appropriate craft.
- Journeyman preferred.
- Ability to coordinate work and function as a member of a team.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills.
- Ability to pass a post‑offer pre‑employment physical, background check and drug screening.
- Basic physical proficiency; able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform physically active assignments, including work on high structures and within confined spaces.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
