Reason for Coverage: Departure of Sports Medicine/Shoulder/Joint Surgeon
Setting: Inpatient Call Coverage
EMR: EPIC
Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center
Weekdays & weekends included
APC handles first call
Surgeon goes in as needed
Part of trauma call team
Orthopedic hospitalist APC rounds daily and weekends
Group shares monthly call with 2 employed + 2 private physicians
Current gap: 6 call days/month (plus vacation/illness coverage)
Standard ED and trauma support available:
RN
RNFA
APC
Typical orthopedic trauma and general orthopedic surgical care
Patient encounters:
Variable per shiftHospital inpatient consults and operative management as indicated
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgery
Active license required (no licensing candidates accepted)
Vaccination:
Annual Influenza vaccine (or mask compliance)
