JOB POSITION:Middle School Certified Science Teacher
OVERVIEW:
Middle School seeking a highly-qualified, enthusiastic individual to provide instruction in Science for teaching 6th grade. The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, be self-motivated, and have demonstrated ability to deliver lessons to support the curriculum goals in science. The teacher will also be responsible for developing and delivering instruction in inclusive classroom settings.
The teacher will collaborate with the other 6th grade science teacher to ensure curriculum pacing is consistent.
Must be able to integrate the use of technology into the day-to-day classroom instruction.
Responsible for the comprehensive curriculum. Preferred experience with NGSS-aligned, and phenomenon-based instructional materials.
We follow the Open Sci Ed middle school science curriculum.
There will be additional opportunities to earn stipends for supporting science Olympiad and other academic clubs and competitions.
Required Certificate(s):
- Initial, Continuing or Advanced Delaware Licensure, including ARTC-eligible candidates
- Certified in Core Content
