Woodbridge School District is accepting applications for a Science teacher at SCOPE North. This is a full-time, 10-month, benefit-eligible teaching position.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified and passionate Science Teacher to teach students in grades 6–12. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science instruction, the ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learners, and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This role requires effective classroom management, curriculum planning, and a collaborative approach to supporting student success across middle and high school grade levels.
QualificationRequirements
Must hold or be eligible for teaching certification in secondary science (grades 6-12 preferred). Special Education certification is preferred. Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including behavior needs and students with disabilities. Strong knowledge of science content across middle and high school levels Experience with classroom management and behavior support strategies Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including students with IEPs or 504 plans Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in integrating technology into instruction and assessment Passion for teaching and dedication to student success.

Plan and deliver engaging, grade-appropriate science instruction aligned with state standards and curriculum frameworks (Grades 6–12) Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, including students with IEPs, English language learners, and advanced learners Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding, track progress, and adjust instruction accordingly Maintain a structured, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports academic and behavioral growth Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent instructional practices and student support Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement Integrate technology and real-world applications into math instruction to enhance student engagement and relevance Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide initiatives Uphold school policies and procedures while modeling professionalism and a growth mindset Support students' social-emotional development through positive relationships and appropriate interventions when needed Other duties as assigned
