Training and Education Specialist III

The Training and Education Specialist III supports workforce development at the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services by designing, coordinating, and delivering training programs related to substance use disorder and mental health services. The role develops evidence-based curricula, facilitates in-person and virtual learning opportunities, and evaluates training effectiveness using adult learning principles. The incumbent also manages learning management systems and e-learning platforms to strengthen Delaware's behavioral health workforce.

• Two years' experience delivering training or education courses using various materials and equipment
• One year of experience preparing and maintaining training records and reports such as course schedules and rosters
• One year of experience researching, selecting, and designing courses, curricula, and instructional methods
• One year of experience creating methods and tools to analyze and evaluate training effectiveness
• Preferred: 6 months experience presenting training in behavioral health care including substance abuse and clinical evidence-based trainings
