Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONThe Clean Energy Strategy (CES) organization is focused on driving the advancement of a climate‑ready energy system. CES develops and advocates for high‑impact policy solutions that address emerging climate change issues. The Principal Policy Analyst serves as a senior individual contributor and policy leader within the CES North organization. This role drives the development, evaluation, and advancement of clean energy policies and large‑scale program filings that support Exelon’s long‑term strategic objectives and jurisdictional policy goals.
This role operates with wide latitude for independent action and is critical to advancing affordability, reliability, decarbonization, and clean energy program performance across the New Jersey and Delaware service territories.
Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties PRIMARY DUTIES ANDACCOUNTABILITIES
- Research, review, and analyze filings made by parties to regulatory proceedings and orders issued by administrative agencies exercising jurisdiction over the Company's business activities. Assist activities of the regulatory and multifunctional staff as assigned (30%)
- Evaluate, analyze, and champion the Company's regulatory and policy initiatives in litigated proceedings and stakeholder forums. (20%)
- Prepare position papers and analyses concerning regulatory and policy issues, and participate in and prepare summaries of, as needed, meetings of trade associations and advocacy groups. (15%)
- Work with outside counsel, internal counsel, and consultants in connection with the preparation of submissions to regulatory agencies. (10%)
- Participate on corporate committees and with external organizations to develop improvements to regulatory infrastructure, comment on rule makings, and develop alternatives to existing regulatory requirements consistent with Exelon/Com Ed strategic and business objectives. (10%)

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory staff, government officials, advocacy groups, and external partners. Build coalitions to support proposed programs and policy positions(5%)
This position directly influences the company’s ability to secure timely and favorable policy outcomes, drive revenue recovery, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance long‑term clean energy strategies. The Principal Policy Analyst regularly engages with executive leadership across PHI and Exelon, represents ACE in multi‑utility forums, and serves as a credible expert to regulators, customers, and external stakeholders. Work is highly complex, requiring advanced analytical, regulatory, policy, and strategic skills, as well as diplomacy and judgment.
