Major Projects - Mechanical Sr. Engineer - Steam Generator Replacement

Job Summary

This Mechanical Senior Engineer role is part of the Steam Generator Replacement project at Beaver Valley. The engineer works independently to identify and perform tasks necessary to meet Vistra objectives, gathers and analyzes information, and provides solutions to complex problems. The position requires maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Identifies and performs tasks required to meet objectives
• Leads interpretation and analysis of complex issues
• Coordinates assigned projects, studies and initiatives through completion
• Complies with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Prepares and presents reports including recommendations to resolve complex issues
• Participates in, and on occasion leads, special projects and committees including external organizations
• Leads complex problem‑solving efforts

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program (minimum 4 years of study)
• Minimum 6 years of relevant job experience
• Pay grade will be based on applicant’s experience and qualifications

• Teamwork and collaboration skills across organizational boundaries
• Effective written and verbal communication of complex issues
• Influence and establish effective working relationships across organizational boundaries
• In‑depth understanding of power plant equipment and system interrelationships
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives in light of their economic contribution to the business
• Application of systematic problem‑solving processes to address complex issues
