Phlebotomist

Job Summary

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. We are seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, DE. The day shift schedule is Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm, with rotating Saturdays as needed.

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required.

Travel to additional sites when needed.

High‑school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least three months of experience as a phlebotomist.

At least one year of phlebotomy experience.

Phlebotomy certification or training program must be from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. The Phlebotomist position may be eligible to participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
