Physical Therapy Assistant - Outpatient Rehab Services

Overview

Under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist, assist the PT by implementing treatment programs according to the plan of care, administer modalities, train patients in therapeutic exercise, transfers, and gait training. Perform duties in support of the Beebe Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an efficient manner. This position may be asked to supervise Physical Therapy Aides, volunteers, and students.

• Identify problems and develop a treatment plan at the conclusion of the initial evaluation.

• Effectively and safely transfer patients with significant physical and/or mental impairment.

Will consider a new graduate.

Two years Physical Therapy Assistant experience preferred.

• Clear communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Withstand crisis situations.
• Provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
• Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.

• PTA – Physical Therapy Assistant
• BLS – Basic Life Saving certification

• Associate’s Degree
