Patient Access & Pre-Access Supervisor

Ensemble Health Partners seeks a Patient Access & Pre-Access Supervisor to lead front-end revenue cycle teams supporting hospitals and physician groups. In this role you will oversee registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes to ensure accurate, timely patient access and positive financial experiences. You will manage daily workflows, coach staff, monitor KPIs, resolve escalated issues, and partner with clinical and revenue cycle leaders to improve processes, quality, and collections while maintaining compliance, integrity, and a strong patient-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient access and pre-access staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance feedback
• Oversee registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-authorization workflows for accuracy and timeliness
• Monitor key performance indicators, quality metrics, and work queues; implement process improvements
• Resolve escalated patient and payer issues while ensuring a positive patient financial experience
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, payer rules, and HIPAA requirements
• Collaborate with clinical, finance, and revenue cycle teams to optimize front-end revenue performance
• Use EHR and registration systems to manage worklists, reporting, and staff productivity
• Support change management and adoption of new technology, tools, and best practices
• Develop standard operating procedures and training materials for access and pre-access functions
