Job Description

The Host at Big Chill Beach Club is responsible for making a great first impression on all guests by providing a warm greeting, maintaining awareness of guest needs and requests, and ensuring a positive atmosphere. The Host will obtain feedback, bid fond farewells, and serve as both the first and last impression of the club. This position is crucial to creating a welcoming experience and requires a leader with positive energy.

Part‑time or full‑time positions are available. This position starts at $15 per hour.

• Welcome and greet guests, smile, make eye contact, and make all guests feel comfortable.
• Stay aware of and share guests’ special needs, requests, and desires.
• Act as a Guest Satisfaction Expert, feeling empowered to make guests happy and relaxed.
• If immediate seating is not available, record guest names and party sizes, provide an estimated wait time, and monitor accordingly.
• Seat guests based on preferences and balance customer flow in service areas.
• Clear and reset tables, ensuring the table to be seated is clean and properly set.
• Pass information to servers and kitchen staff as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Take accurate messages and ensure they reach management.
• Complete opening and closing side‑work and weekly cleaning duties.
• Be a team player.
• Live the brand and act as a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the company at all times.

• Must be at least 14 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
• Have a friendly, outgoing demeanor with a passion for hospitality and top‑notch guest service.
• Strong communication skills with management, staff, and guests.
• Flexible schedule to assume responsibilities as needed.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
