Lead the end-to-end control of manufacturing orders. In this position, you ensure accurate SAP transactions, resilient BOM governance, and seamless collaboration across planning, procurement, production, quality, maintenance, and logistics—delivering OTIF performance and cost discipline.
Role mission
Own the manufacturing execution heartbeat. Balance schedule adherence, material availability, capacity utilization, and compliance to keep product moving right-first-time.
Core responsibilities
SAP & Master Data Excellence Convert and stage PP/MM orders; post accurate confirmations, back flushing, and variances.
Validate BOMs/routings (work centers, standard times, scrap factors); trigger master data corrections.
Manage MRP exception messages; coordinate reschedules, expedites, and shortage actions with planning.
Reconcile material/labor/overhead variances and partner with Finance on root cause and corrective actions.
Enforce disciplined goods issues/receipts and WIP control.
Order Management & Throughput Sequence/dispatch by line or cell aligned to frozen schedules, ATP, and capacity.
Resolve blockers across Purchasing, Warehouse, Production Supervisors, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance.
Drive takt attainment, schedule adherence, and planned changeovers.
Administer hold, rework, and deviation orders with complete traceability.
BOM Integrity & Change Execute pre-release BOM audits and confirm effectivity/ECO/ECN incorporation.
Maintain synchronized revision control across BOMs, routings, and records with Engineering.
Run periodic cycle checks on critical/high-value BOMs; analyze yield loss and scrap trends.
Materials & Inventory Verify availability (MRP stock, open POs, transfer orders) before release; avoid partial kits unless approved.
Enable full kitting and quick discrepancy resolution; uphold accurate back flushing and batch/lot tracking.
Support cycle counts and lead root-cause on inventory adjustments.
Quality & Compliance Attach correct inspection plans, sampling, and inspection points.
Facilitate upstream query closure.
Ensure batch records, travelers, labels, and serialization/traceability meet standards.
Support internal/external audits and regulatory compliance.
Performance & CIPublish KPIs (OTIF, schedule adherence, WIP, yield, scrap, rework hours, labor efficiency, lead time).Lead/assist kaizen and A3 to eliminate delays, cut WIP, and improve right-first-time.
Implement standardized work and visual controls for order flow, kitting, and deviation handling.
Team & reporting
Reports to the Planning and Logistics Manager. Partners across Supply Chain and participates on cross-functional/regional teams.
What you’ll bring
Core skills:
Ownership and rigor for SAP accuracy; cross-functional communication; data-driven problem solving (5-Why, fishbone); prioritization and smart escalation; process discipline and continuous improvement mindset.
Experience (Required): 3–5 years in manufacturing planning/control or shop-floor scheduling; deep SAP PP/MM (or similar ERP) capability; exposure to production orders, BOMs, routings, work centers, MRP, and inventory transactions; knowledge of capacity planning, takt time, standard work, OEE; familiarity with quality systems and documentation control;
Advanced Excel (pivots/lookups) and basic data analysis;
Power BI or similar is a plus.
Experience (Preferred):
Bachelor’s in Supply Chain/Operations/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience); experience in automotive, aerospace, medical device, chemicals, or electronics; knowledge of APS/finite scheduling, kanban/pull, S&OP; CPIM/CSCP and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
