Feedmill Panel​/Pellet Operator

Responsibilities

• Operates the pellet mills in a proficient and efficient manner for optimum production.
• Performs all scheduled mixing in a proficient and efficient manner for optimum production.
• Works with the batch operator, keeping them informed of the run status and mash supply needs; can also run batch operating equipment.
• Produces pellets as directed by the Quality Assurance department; ensures mixing is accurate according to the formulation and reports any errors to the Feed Mill Superintendent.
• Makes sure coolers are clean and working properly; keeps accurate records of drugs used and prints deviation reports at the end of the shift, turning in all records to the Quality Assurance Technician.
• Keeps the area clean, well swept, and neat; cooperates with ingredient unloading and transferring to prevent contamination.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in mechanics and computer skills.
• 0 - 2 years' relevant experience in a Feed Mill or manufacturing preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math, computer and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Works in a dusty, noisy environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Sun–Fri, 7 AM–3 PM. Saturdays 7 AM–7 PM, with every 3rd Saturday off. Must be available for 12‑hour shifts. Steel-toe shoes required.
