Position Overview

The role of the Warehouse Packaging Operator will rotate between onsite warehouse, off‑site warehouse, and small packaging operations. The operator ensures tasks are performed within all EHS, quality, and corporate guidelines on a right‑first‑time basis. Operator provides coverage on the packaging line when needed to package inks into small containers and label for sale. The operator properly manages and stores incoming materials, intermediate, and finished product to support pigment dispersion, ink, and dye manufacturing and sales.

Key Result Areas / Deliverables

Primary warehouse role includes loading and unloading materials to and from trucks & containers, moving material throughout onsite and off‑site warehouses.

  • Receiving, checking, and storing raw material, finished goods, intermediate, containers, and supplies. Includes both bulk and small package deliveries.
  • Load FTL/LTL or FCL/LCL containers as provided in SOPs. Includes labeling, shrink‑wrap, and other loading practices.
  • Bundle small orders as required for small package carriers and fill out appropriate paperwork.
  • Use SAP to record inventory moving in and out, storing in proper place.
  • Familiar with cycle counts and investigating discrepancies.
  • Generate shipping paperwork from SAP, such as BOL, pick lists and required SAP work.
  • Use all checklists necessary for incoming/outgoing shipments to ensure cleanliness and integrity of products.
  • Work with Purchasing to obtain all necessary paperwork for incoming materials, including COA.
  • Pick and stage batches for use in production.

When packaging line requires coverage, responsibilities include material handling, operating pumps, filtering, and packaging to customer requirements. Additional tasks: relabeling containers, waste consolidation, sampling, and repacking.

  • Operate equipment and systems for packaging high‑purity/high‑quality inks; filling inks into 10L / 20L bladders for end‑customer use; focus on quality and standards.
  • Meet daily productivity targets and stringent quality standards of customers.
  • Proactively address issues and solve problems to avoid costly errors.
  • Filling operation in cleanroom environment with strict protocol.
  • Properly box, label, palletize, and shrink‑wrap per batch logs.
  • Right first time to achieve customer satisfaction.

Supports departmental Continuous Improvement, Lean and 5S activities. Other duties include following S&OPs, equipment troubleshooting, ensuring accurate consumption of materials.

  • Use SOPs and checklists to perform work.
  • Must be trained and respect all GMP Practices.
  • Must be a licensed driver and be able to drive a box truck.
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Adhere to safety procedures in all day‑to‑day activities.
  • Accountability

    • Products produced are high‑value materials.
    • The Operator has front‑line responsibility for packaging products and material movements around the site.
    • The Operator works efficiently, safely, and environmentally sound to meet all quality requirements.
    • Compliance with Corporate Governance Guidelines.
    • Overall compliance with Corporate and Government EHS Regulations and EHS program leadership.

    Qualifications Skills, Knowledge / Education / Experience

    Required

    • Certified on Electric Forklifts (sit‑down and walk‑behind).
    • Attention to detail and focus ability.
    • General knowledge of material handling and chemical storage.
    • Math aptitude.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Box truck experience.

    Desired

    • Clean room experience.
    • Batch Manufacturing or Packaging experience and equipment knowledge with pumps, filters, and piping.
    • CDL certification.
    • HAZWOPER training or experience.
    • Yard Dog (jockeying trailers) experience.
