Machine Operator​/Slitting and Punching

Summary

In this role, the Slitter/Punching Operator is responsible for operating slitting machines, which use a series of rollers and blades to cut large rolls of paper or plastic into smaller rolls, and punched parts machines, which use dies to produce finished parts. Operators must be able to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the process so that production can continue without interruption.

• Provide a safe workplace where individuals feel a personal sense of responsibility for maintenance needs or unsafe practices, follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards in warehouse locations, and maintain a neat, clean work environment free of hazards.
• Properly, efficiently, and accurately set up, start, and operate equipment.
• Understand sales orders and customer requirements to ensure delivery of quality products.
• Meet production demands with the resourceful use of raw materials.
• Promptly report equipment malfunctions and necessary repairs to the supervisor.
• Maintain all safety, housekeeping and other applicable standards.
• Maintain the required productivity level at 100% of the standard.
