Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in lathe operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a true lathe machinist, capable of performing operations on Mills as well. This individual will play a crucial role in contributing to the precision and quality of our machined parts, ensuring accuracy to within 1 micron.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in performing some operations on Mills while specializing in lathe machining.
  • Work with a variety of materials, including metals and alloys, to meet stringent quality standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to produce parts that meet tight tolerances.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy within 1 micron.
  • Adhere to ITAR compliance regulations and assist in navigating government contracts.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and actively participate in team meetings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a focus on lathe operations.
  • Proficiency in operating Mills and familiarity with various CNC controls.
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-precision parts within tight tolerances.
  • Familiarity with ITAR compliance and experience in government contract navigation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot CNC machinery.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
