Chemical Operator

Responsibilities

• Guide and maintain automatic and manual chemical process systems of varying complexity in accordance with operating procedures, including programmable logic control devices
• Follow specifications, job orders, work instructions, recipes and procedures to produce specific products according to our ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system
• Perform excellent liquid/chemical batch manufacturing, maintaining familiarity with a variety of production machines
• Comfortably work in or be willing to learn about C1D1 and C1D2 Explosion Proof environments, particularly within the context of hazardous material handling and solvent extraction
• Monitor and care for process variables, such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates
• Route product samples for quality control inspection according to procedure
• Complete preventive maintenance on a regular, timely basis
• Handle first‑line resolution of process pathways such as equipment malfunctions, computer program issues, and setting adjustments, involving other experts as needed
• Support and uphold the Company’s safety and environmental standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Champion proper disposal of waste materials
• Contribute actively to safety improvement programs
• Support and uphold all Company policies including safety, operating procedures, quality, attendance and proper on‑the‑job conduct
• This position is shift work on a 12‑hour Dupont Schedule with day‑night rotation

• Pay: $25.75 per hour

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience
• Proven experience with C1D1 and C1D2 Explosion Proof environments, particularly in hazardous material handling and solvent extraction
• Good written skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with MS Office tools
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
• Continuous standing in one location for long periods (2‑3 hours before break)
• Flexibility to work in shifts and handle occasional overtime as needed
