- Perform manual and machine operation of production equipment for filling various components or containers, batching, labeling, machining, sorting, inspecting and packaging. Monitor and assure quality of product, make simple machine adjustments, and keep equipment in good working order.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area; count and record production units and labor time.
- Move around machines to ensure operating mechanisms function properly and perform minor repairs, setup, and changeovers as needed.
- Read scales to weigh raw materials and final products to ensure consistent high quality.
- Operate material handling equipment and apply safety and quality procedures, PPE, and SOPs.
- Report production units, job numbers, and labor hours accurately.
- Possibly train new or contingent employees and provide basic instructions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with QA, GMP, SOP, FDA, 5S, and labor standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Certifications/Licensing
N/A
Experience
6 months of production experience preferred.
Key Skills and Capabilities
Ability to read and interpret documents in English; basic math and measurement skills; ability to apply instructions; strong attention to detail; willingness to cross-train; ability to pass a basic reading, writing and math test at on-site interviews.
