Registered Nurse, William Marion Stevenson House (Part-Time, Night Shift)

Join Christiana Care as a Registered Nurse working 32 hours every two weeks (64 hours bi-weekly) at the William Marion Stevenson House in Milford, DE.

The William Marion Stevenson House is a lock‑secure detention center for pre‑adjudicated male and female youth under 18. Accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA), the facility offers HIV prevention, pregnancy prevention, aggression resistance, and drug education programs along with medical, dental, and psychological services.

• Perform nursing assessments and collect data on adolescent patients at admission and sick call.
• Manage patients within scope of practice, with referrals to physicians or advanced practice nurses as required.
• Evaluate and update plan of care according to established standards.
• Assess patient knowledge deficits, identify learning needs, and provide education.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and crisis situations.
• Navigate the FOCUS medication tracking system and enter medication information accurately.
• Access and maintain the LIMS STD system through the Delaware Public Health Lab.
• Prepare charts/information for Psychiatrist Tele‑Psych sessions.
• Complete yearly Vaccines for Children training and maintain temperature logs in Log Tag System.
• Maintain stock supplies/medications and dispose of expired items properly.
• Submit monthly Performance Based Standards (PBS) reports and injury reports.
• Administer patient medication safely and effectively.
• Interpret test values and report abnormal results with follow‑up per guidelines.
• Maintain credentials (CPR, mandatory in‑service education, continuing education).

• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with agreement to complete BSN within 3 years.
• Prior nursing experience with adolescent psychiatric, community, and/or correctional settings encouraged.

• Current RN licensure in the State of Delaware.
• BLS certification.

Hourly rate: $35.39 – $56.63 per hour.
