Position: RN Supervisor part time every other weekend $5000 SIGN ON
Location: Talleys Corner

The $5,000 sign‑on bonus will be paid in installments. Continued employment with the company for a minimum of one (1) year from the start date is required. If employment ends prior to the one‑year anniversary, any unpaid portion of the bonus will be forfeited.

We are currently hiring for part‑time every other weekend Nurse Supervisor (6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.). The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the care and services provided within the skilled nursing department in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates leadership and problem‑solving skills with a commitment to the excellence of the facility.
  • Participates in the organization’s strategic planning efforts and operational improvement initiatives to drive innovation and quality of the unit.
  • Responsible for the implementation of service lines, such as Pulmonary Rehab and Cardiac Care, to enhance quality of care, reduce hospital readmissions, increase physician and hospital referrals, and ultimately admissions.
  • Responsible for EMR, Risk Watch, and OnShift.
Staff Management, Training and Development
  • Interviewing, hiring, orienting, and evaluating unit personnel to develop and maintain a resident‑centered care philosophy.
  • Maintaining a positive environment using effective problem‑solving strategies and through staff empowerment to promote high staff morale and retention.
  • Employing communication vehicles to ensure staff is aware of and knowledgeable regarding organizational news, changes, and needs.
  • Participating in staff development and in‑service education of personnel.
  • Completing performance appraisals for staff.
Continuous Improvement
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality of care and services delivered within a quality and safety culture.
  • Continuously seeking opportunities to improve both the clinical and operational needs of the unit.
  • Supporting and implementing clinical improvement initiatives and ensuring a safe and clean work area.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Maintaining knowledge of current long‑term care regulations and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Ensuring staff compliance with established policies, procedures and regulatory programs in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Investigating any/unusual or abnormal incidents, ensuring accuracy and completeness of incident reports, and reporting findings to the Director of Nursing or designee.
  • Initiating immediate investigation and reporting of complaints, allegations of abuse or neglect and misappropriations of resident property, and reporting to the Administrator and Abuse Prevention Coordinator.
  • Ensuring Medicare certifications are completed and signed by the attending physician in accordance with Medicare guidelines.
Supervision of Nursing Care and Documentation
  • Ensuring the unit is properly staffed according to resident acuity.
  • Supervising and holding staff accountable for implementation of policies and procedures and standards of care.
  • Conducting rounds to monitor resident acuity and assess residents’ physical and psychosocial status.
  • Performing audits of residents’ medical records to ensure compliance with facility policies as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Providing assistance with admissions, discharges, and hands‑on clinical care as needed to ensure a smooth flowing unit.
Continuum of Care
  • Conducting care plan meetings with family and residents.
  • Overseeing discharge planning protocols to ensure timely, safe and smooth resident discharges to the right level of living.
  • Facilitating communication across continuum to ensure delivery of resident‑centered care philosophy.
  • Communicating effectively with residents, family members, physicians, other healthcare providers and community constituents.
  • Maintaining EMR plan of care; reviewing staff documentation.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
