Substitute School Nurse - Until Filled

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Substitute for Sussex Academy.

• List three (3) professional references with email addresses.
• Once the substitute application is complete contact  indicating you are interested in being considered for a substitute nurse role for the 2025/2026 school year.

• Skills to provide health care services in a public school setting.
• Experience and knowledge in first aid, immunizations and health screenings.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Ability to work independently and exercise initiative.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of students, staff and parents in a professional manner.

• License to practice as a registered nurse, issued by the Delaware Board of Nursing or a part of compact state consortium and is in good standing.
• Valid and current certification in CPR and AED use.

• Favorable Criminal Background check, Child Abuse Registry Check and TB test (within last 12 months) are required for the candidate who is offered employment.
