OverviewWe are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career. This role supports a high-volume manufacturing environment specializing in precision-formed metal products. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting operational leaders across manufacturing, engineering, sales, and production.
Key Responsibilities Month-End Close & Financial Reporting- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure all entries are timely, accurate, and properly supported
- Prepare financial results and analysis for management review
- Maintain the accuracy of inventory through monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory and financial records
- Participate in inventory costing, valuation, and product cost analyses
- Provide pricing support to Marketing and Engineering as needed
- Record, track, and monitor fixed assets
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, projections, and analytical models
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of accounting regulations, including US GAAP and IFRS frameworks
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll entries and related accruals
- Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, engineering, and production teams on financial issues and initiatives
- Assist with special projects that improve efficiencies, enhance reporting, and strengthen internal processes
- Communicate regularly with external partners such as banks and vendors
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally seeking your next step into a senior-level role
- Understanding of month-end closing processes
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- High attention to detail and excellent communication abilities
- Self-starter with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and work independently
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
