Vertiv is hiring an BU NPDI Procurement Leader. As a member of the Global Procurement Team, the person will lead NPDI Procurement team for a given BU. This position will be the designated point of contact managing the team for project sourcing activities related to new product introduction, product cost reductions, production transfers, supply chain design, and time to market. Aligning with the Engineering and Commodity teams to monitor critical prototype parts, determine e‑Auctions opportunities, perform risk & resiliency assessment, and responsible for reporting status to agreed KPIs.

- BU and Product Line alignment and roadmaps for Strategic Procurement
- Monthly Project reviews
- Interface with BU leaders on customer facing projects and actions
- Interface with Global Procurement and Regional Procurement for requirements, suppliers and other needed actions to execute Category strategies during NPDI Phase
- Own all Metrics for NPDI projects and BU Requirements
- Material Product Cost
- Material Lead Time
- BoM Health Scores
- Project Schedule Adherence
- Develop and work with all functional groups for Procurement alignment in NPDI programs
- First line of escalation for procurement in NPDI phases
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic), Supply Chain Operations and/or Business.
Minimum Years of Experience5‑7 years of supply chain, Engineering, or related experience.
Special Skills- Significant Supply Chain and Engineering background preferred, with experience in multiple disciplines (e.g., NPI, Project Management, Industrialization etc.).
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and bill of materials.
- Ability to manage teams across multiple projects for results
- Ability to work with high level personnel including executive level leaders
- Clear understanding of Supply Chain and Procurement processes and strategy with an understanding of Vertiv’s marketplace and industry business operations and standards.
- Ability to build forward‑thinking partnerships with suppliers along with leadership skills, particularly in complex, international, and cross functional teams.
- Experienced in working within large matrixed teams and/or organizations. Willing to work in different time zones (as required).
- Ability to drive and accept change, continuous improvement processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP and PLM tools.
Preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Chain).
Travel Requirements% of Travel: 20%
