Electrical Engineer
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to serve as the primary electrical engineering resource for a growing manufacturer of hoist and suspended access equipment. This individual will be responsible for leading electrical design efforts from concept through production, supporting both new product development and continuous improvement initiatives across existing product lines.
This is a highly visible, hands-on engineering role focused on electromechanical systems, controls, safety, and compliance. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, firmware teams, and external suppliers to develop innovative and reliable products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:• Lead the design, development, testing, and launch of electrical control systems for hoists and suspended access equipment
• Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panels, and interface documentation
• Own electrical systems including motors, drives, brakes, sensors, limit switches, safety relays, and protective devices
• Translate customer, regulatory, and internal requirements into manufacturable, UL-compliant electrical designs
• Perform electrical system analysis including power, thermal, fault, and safety evaluations
• Support new product development efforts through design reviews, prototyping, testing, validation, and production launch activities
• Drive reliability, safety, usability, and performance improvements across existing product lines
• Analyze customer feedback, field performance data, and warranty trends to support product enhancements
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through component selection, design simplification, and process improvements
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to manufacturing, assembly, and field issues
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, firmware teams, and external suppliers throughout the product lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with applicable North American electrical, safety, and lifting equipment standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, specifications, test reports, and product manuals
Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design and product development
• Experience designing electrical control systems for industrial or electromechanical equipment
• Strong understanding of motors, drives, sensors, safety circuits, and industrial controls
• Experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Ability to troubleshoot and support manufacturing and field-related electrical issues
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements
Work Environment:This individual will work within a small engineering team and serve as the organization's primary electrical engineering subject matter expert. The role offers ownership of the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacturing support and field service improvements, while helping shape the future direction of the company's electrical systems and products.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
