Reports To: Interim Enterprise Transportation Director
About the RoleThe Senior Supply Chain Analyst partners closely with the Interim Enterprise Transportation Director to identify, prioritize, and deliver transportation savings and operational improvements across the network. You’ll serve as a key analytical leader, a strategic counterpart to our MTS provider, and a driver of execution in a project-heavy environment.
What You’ll Do- Own the enterprise transportation savings roadmap, prioritizing outbound and inter‑DC opportunities based on financial impact and operational readiness.
- Translate complex analytics into structured execution plans, defining actions, owners, timelines, and expected results.
- Hold the MTS provider accountable by validating data, challenging assumptions, and ensuring adherence to contracted rates, lanes, and service expectations.
- Lead development of advanced dashboards and reporting, including cost‑per‑case metrics, lane/mode analyses, and network performance insights.
- Conduct leakage and variance analysis to ensure savings are fully realized, escalating risks and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Guide pricing, margin, and CPC decisions by providing fact‑based transportation cost visibility and fulfillment strategy insights.
- Drive optimization projects (lane rationalization, load efficiency, mode mix shifts) from hypothesis through implementation, ensuring alignment with network goals.
- Standardize transportation cost governance, developing consistent methodologies across customers, lanes, fulfillment models, and business units.
- Mentor and review the work of analysts, enhancing analytical quality, storytelling, and data accuracy across the team.
- Influence enterprise initiatives across multiple business units and support acquisition integration, with up to 10% travel to DCs and provider sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain analytics
- Strong understanding of outbound and inter‑DC transportation cost structures
- Advanced Excel and analytical modeling skills
- Proven ability to lead projects, drive execution, and influence cross-functional partners
- Experience working with or supporting a Managed Transportation Services model
- Familiarity with TMS, ERP, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
- Background in cost reduction, savings tracking, or network optimization initiatives
