Responsible for supporting and maintaining Del-Co’s network infrastructure. Works across the organization to install and configure network equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support security, access and documentation. Assists with SCADA-related network issues as needed.
Essential Duties- Set up and configure network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure the smooth operation of networks, including performing routine maintenance and updates.
- Diagnose and resolve network problems to minimize downtime.
- Assist individuals and departments with network-related issues and provide guidance on new systems or updates.
- Administer and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights across network systems.
- Track network performance to identify potential issues.
- Help implement and maintain network security measures.
- Create and maintain records of network configurations, issues, and solutions.
- Reports data communications problems, anticipated downtime, and resolution to leadership and other stakeholders as required.
- Support and assist with SCADA-related network infrastructure.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and new technology in data communications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform the job duties successfully.
- High school diploma or GED.
- An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in information technology, networking, or related field is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in providing user service in a technological environment.
- 2 years of experience supporting network infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of network fundamentals.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools is preferred.
- Basic understanding of network security principles is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to explain difficult concepts to employees with varying knowledge of technology.
- Must be able to perform manual labor and work in adverse weather conditions.
- Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
