OverviewMultifamily Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, always ensuring high-level of service. They also motivate high‑performing teams to maximize the performance of the property.
EssentialJob Duties
- Ensure the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment
- Oversee all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
- Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability
- Complete lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards
- Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic
- Develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high-performing, cohesive team across leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel to maximize engagement and minimize turnover
- Drive revenues through thorough analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs
- Lead by example and instill Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company
- Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the on‑site team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed
- Maintain effective on‑site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary
- Maintain residents’ files in accordance with the company's standards
- Maintain a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up
- Manage and maintain overall community budget and finances
- Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation
- General office, bookkeeping, sales skills and excellent oral and written communication
- Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting, improving the performance of each staff member
- Supervise day‑to‑day operations of team, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
- Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met
- Be able to manage a team
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
Ohio Real Estate License preferred
3+ years of on‑site Multifamily Property Management experience required
Yardi systems experience required
Strong preference for experience with Ohio Affordable Voucher programs
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regularly required to travel.
Physical Demands- Stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time
- Ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools; travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions
- Remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; operate office machinery
- Travel up to 15% of the time, frequency and duration varying
- Exert up to 25 pounds occasionally, frequently, or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
