Electrical​/Mechanical Assembly Technician

Overview

On a production basis, performs electrical and mechanical assembly work to complete the hoist and box/panel wiring in the Hoist Assembly Area. Must be able to work from schematics, blueprints and other input documents of similar complexity. Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment to complete the product. May also perform some trouble-shooting and rework of production items.

• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and work orders (preferred).
• Perform electrical and mechanical assembly as described in job documentation.
• Use hand tools and test equipment to complete assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and rework production items as needed.

• Mechanical experience is a plus.
• Strong background and knowledge of assembly operation desired.
• Electrical assembly experience is a plus.
• Good communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and work orders (preferred).
• Knowledge of 3 phase and single-phase electrical systems is a plus.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills are a plus.
• Ability to work occasional overtime is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (up to 70 pounds with assistance as needed per role).

• Work involves standing, bending, squatting, lifting and sitting.
• Frequent reaching, bending, pulling and lifting related to assembling components; may occasionally lift up to 70 pounds and frequently lift 25 pounds several times a day.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to operate assembly equipment and tools.
• Moderate noise level; temperatures in the assembly area may fluctuate as the production area is not air conditioned.
