Pressure Vessel Welder

Overview

Pressure Vessel Welder – located in Delaware, OH. This role involves working from shop drawings, procedures, or other instructions to perform welding for final products, sub-assemblies, and components, adhering to ASME Code Safety Regulations. The position is on-site.

Starting Pay: $28.23/hr, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM. Training on 1st shift (up to 4 weeks) from Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Bi-weekly pay schedule.

• Follow production orders, prepare parts, and weld components into assemblies.
• Execute welds in accordance with company procedures and documents while meeting defined quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
• Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.
• Identify and implement safety improvements.

Pressure Vessel Welder – Level I Qualifications

• At least 1–3 years of experience or equivalent education from trade school.
• Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified with the company for welding parts under pressure.
• Ability to read and apply WPS and read drawings.
• Strong problem‑solving and teamwork aptitude.
• Methodical, organized, and precise; proactive in proposing solutions.

Pressure Vessel Welder – Level II Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
• Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standards; certified with the company for welding parts under pressure.
• Ability to read and apply WPS and read drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.
• Strong problem‑solving and teamwork aptitude.
• Methodical, organized, and precise; proactive in proposing solutions.

Pressure Vessel Welder – Level III Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience on pipe or pressure vessels (certified experience).
• Experience and certification welding to ASME standards.
• Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings, and teach others to do so.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components.
• Strong problem‑solving and teamwork aptitude.
• Methodical, organized, and precise; proactive in proposing solutions.
