Mowing Team Leader Compensation and Benefits

Responsibilities
  • As a Team Leader you will be working in the field alongside your team members.
  • Leading a mowing team (teams of 2-3) in providing customers with professionally mowed lawns.
  • Recognize when additional horticulture work is needed on a customer’s site and notify supervisors.
  • Keep team on route and ensure that route is completed in a timely manner, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Daily maintenance of equipment including but not limited to; cleaning, sharpening and changing blades, grease mowers, and note any major mechanical issues.
  • Keep your assigned vehicle looking clean and professional, both inside and out.
  • Maintain accurate logs in landscape management software (LMN).
Job Requirements
  • Available to work 40-50 hours per week Monday-Thursday and some Fridays and Saturdays as needed.
  • 2-4 Years professional lawn mowing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid & Clean driving record and insurable by company insurance.
  • Availability for snow maintenance in the winter months
Typical Day
  • Clean and inspect all equipment for the day, sharpen blades on all your mowers.
  • Ensure that shop area is clean completed with work.
  • Load truck with appropriate equipment for the day.
  • Make sure truck and equipment are properly fueled.
  • Receive instructions/route information for the day.
  • Get team out of shop in a timely manner.
  • Manage team in the field, while staying on the appropriate route.
  • Notify supervisor of any delays, changes in route, or issues.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance of the equipment, vehicles, and team.
