TAHO is a community focused and mission driven organization with a focus on accessible/affordable high quality medical care. Our new/state-of-the-art hospital is fast-paced and high-volume. Our services include high-volume spay/neuter, routine wellness, urgent/emergency care, dental care and surgery, radiology (including dental), in-house diagnostics, general and emergency surgery, 24 hour inpatient care/hospitalization, end-of-life care/hospice and euthanasia, and more. It is our mission to ensure no animal goes without the medical care they require and deserve, regardless of the family’s financial situation.

This level of care is what sets our organization apart from others and is what TAHO is primarily known for. Our hospital has been awarded the title of Top Veterinary Hospital in Central Ohio for the past seven years in a row, along side our friends and partners at Med Vet and OSU.
We are nationally recognized as a leader for our innovative, high-quality spay/neuter program and are in partnership with the ASPCA’s Humane Alliance Program.
Who we are looking for
A licensed veterinarian with a strong leadership background that can demonstrate a successful track record of managing/leading a medical team in times of change, transformation, rapid growth, and high volume.
Have the ability to effectively manage conflict in highly emotional situations with grace and maturity.
An advocate who is passionate about community and charitable service and animal health and welfare.
A friendly professional who is willing and able to be a part of our greater mission and include themselves in public service and organizational/partner/sponsoring events.

Job Summary
A strong and supportive leadership team is essential to our success and our abilities to continue to provide high quality and affordable medical care to our communities. Our medical director is responsible for the oversight and management of all veterinary care provided by our organization, including management of associate veterinarians. We strive for professional and medical excellence - our MD is focused on sustaining, evaluating, and improving our overall, top-of-the-line, veterinary medical care to ensure we are always performing at the highest level possible.
The MD functions as a pillar of professionalism and leads by example, constantly demonstrating and encouraging a positive and productive working environment and team work.
In addition to leadership responsibilities, the MD functions in a full-time outpatient medical or surgical role. MD candidates must be willing to cross train in all departments to ensure familiarity with all TAHO operations and be able to step into any role as may be periodically required.
Working Relationships
Works very closely with, and provides management and leadership to, all associate veterinarians. Works closely with veterinary technicians and assistants.
Works in partnership with the Executive Director, Hospital Manager, and Clinical Supervisors to lead and manage a positive and productive team.
Works in partnership with the Executive Director to maintain and develop new protocols or SOPs to ensure we continue to improve and provide the highest level of medical and client care…
