Herbarium Intern
The herbarium intern will assist curators in upgrading OWU's research collections, mounting and repairing specimens, and packing and sending specimens to other museums.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Organization
- Care
- Documentation of dried samples of plants
Qualifications:
- Previous experience is not required, but the work requires attention to detail and care in handling fragile and sometimes irreplaceable research specimens.
- Useful skills and experience for this position:
- Work with archival materials
- Library experience
- Activities involving careful record-keeping
- Biology course work
- Completion of biology courses helpful, but not required.

Manage historical documents, field notebooks, and rare biological literature.
