Branch Sales Manager

The Branch Sales Manager is a leadership position that oversees branch customer relationships and the operational functions to keep facilities and processes running smoothly. The role focuses on managing, leading, and evaluating staff to ensure high levels of customer service and personal development. In addition, the Branch Sales Manager drives growth of banking services, pursues new external relationships, and coordinates customer relationships with lending and branch personnel.

Functions
  • Oversee branch management functions.
  • Understand Richwood Bank products and recognize opportunities to benefit customers.
  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
  • Communicate onboarding timelines and internal CRM process.
  • Complete compliance documentation to protect the bank and customers from risk.
  • Participate in volunteer community boards and bank events.
  • Perform the internal Relationship Building Sales Program (Profit Rich Sales Process).
  • Identify opportunities to interact with customers/prospects that display personal interest in their profession, industry, or community.
  • Make retention and sales calls weekly and log them in the CRM.
  • Update funnel and notes in the CRM daily.
  • Refer loan and business product opportunities to appropriate departments using the CRM.
  • Coordinate sales calls with team members best suited to the prospect’s needs.
  • Work with the customer relationship manager on bids/agreements when needed.
  • Communicate and connect with the internal Regional Development Team.
  • Continue to cultivate relationships with current Top 100 clients, advise on new products, invite to relevant events, and review portfolio with them on site.
  • Make or update recommendations to Top 100/Top 1000 list monthly with supporting reasons for upgrades, downgrades, additions, or deletions.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings, present pipeline, and discuss wins and lessons learned.
  • For customers who do not fit the Top 100 profile, entrust follow‑up to branch staff after accounts are established.
  • Coordinate with Assistant Branch Managers to manage branch staff.
  • Oversee employee schedules and attendance.
  • Inform staff of information received from corporate.
  • Communicate expectations clearly and delegate tasks as needed.
  • Facilitate all transactions for customers across all financial account types and requests.
  • Open accounts and educate customers on how to maximize them.
  • Assist new customers in transferring relationships.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer balances daily.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all accounts, products, and services offered.
  • Support customers with all account and service needs.
  • Help customers with additional benefits such as notary, faxing, and check orders.
  • Stay current on rates for CDs, savings IRAs, and interest‑bearing checking.
  • Listen to customer needs and recommend best solutions.
  • Oversee proof scanning and upload all transactions daily into the computer.
  • Assist team with miscellaneous office support such as inventory and cookie Friday preparations.
  • Provide coverage for additional branches as needed.
  • Implement business development strategies.
  • Provide sales leadership and guidance to the team.
  • Conduct quarterly incentive reviews with staff.
  • Lead monthly professional development conversations with staff.
  • Open and close the branch while adhering to all bank security procedures.
  • Follow up on customer grievances.
  • Support continued training and education of staff.
  • Deliver feedback/input on donation decision making for the market.
  • Provide input on local marketing decisions.
  • Develop and oversee bank events per location.
  • Analyze location data weekly.
  • Provide input on coffee shop beneficiary relationships.
