Auburn Valley Maintenance

Overview

The seasonal park maintenance position will assist maintenance staff with all aspects of maintaining the park grounds and its facilities. Responsibilities include mowing grass, weeding and mulching landscape beds, pruning or trimming, picking up and removing trash, cleaning restrooms, cleaning and repairing structures, and participating in projects involving carpentry and welding. Employees will work outdoors and indoors under various weather conditions, use light‑duty equipment such as trucks, tractors, mowers, and other lawn equipment, and may be required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, athletic field maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, trash removal, vegetation removal, leaf removal, and snow/ice removal.
• Perform custodial services in restrooms, offices, and other buildings.
• Provide customer service by explaining regulations, answering visitor requests, addressing needs and complaints, and providing information about the park and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience using landscaping equipment and hand or power tools (grounds only).
• Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked, or cancelled, and not disqualified from driving).

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet all other eligibility requirements as specified. This position is a non‑pension eligible, non‑healthcare position.
