  • Coordinate and support label review/approvals, including verifying compliance to FSIS labeling regulations and company/customer requirements (ingredients, allergens, net weight, safe handling, claims, approvals, and documentation).
  • Maintain labeling records and approvals; support label change control and communication to affected departments.
  • Maintain and update FSQA procedures/SOPs, work instructions, and program documents to ensure they remain current, controlled, and audit-ready.

  • Assist in preparing for and supporting customer, regulatory, and third‑party audits, including corrective action responses.
  • Assist with management of the facility pathogen monitoring and verification programs (e.g., Salmonella and other required microbiological testing), ensuring sampling plans meet regulatory, customer, and corporate requirements.
  • Coordinate sample collection, handling, storage, shipment, and chain‑of‑custody documentation to ensure integrity and traceability.
  • Review microbiological results, trend data, and investigate positives/out‑of‑trend findings; lead documented root cause analysis and CAPA with verification of effectiveness.
  • Partner with Sanitation and Operations to drive corrective actions and program improvements based on data.
  • Serve as backup to the FSQA Supervisor, including oversight of daily FSQA activities, technician assignments, verification of critical checks, and escalation/decision support.
