Job OverviewIrwin Park, a Greystar‑owned apartment community, is looking for an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager with day‑to‑day financial, operational, and resident‑service activities.
Duties and Responsibilities- Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
- Process invoices and payables, including reviewing vendor services, reconciling work done, and coding charges to the Chart of Accounts.
- Maintain and update Yardi/One Site property‑management software, ensuring data integrity and performing backups.
- Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate balance information, and enforce lease terms.
- Assist the leasing team with virtual and in‑person apartment tours, gather prospect information, and facilitate lease sign‑ups.
- Coordinate resident move‑outs, reviewing lease terms and applying applicable fees, and process related dispositions.
- Respond to resident inquiries and service requests, resolving issues promptly and escalating when necessary.
- Partner with on‑site and marketing teams to create resident events and activities that support a positive community experience.
- Act as the on‑site supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager, overseeing daily operations and coordinating maintenance staff.
- Support owner‑relationship management by attending owner meetings, providing performance updates, and responding to owner requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 1–3years of experience in property‑management, residence life, or a related field that includes financial, sales, marketing, or customer‑service duties.
- Strong knowledge of lease terms, collections, and eviction procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
- Valid driver’s license for golf‑cart operation on the property (California only).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, internet research, and database management.
- Hands‑on experience with property‑management software such as Yardi, One Site, or Entrata.
- All required state and local licenses or certifications as applicable.
- Physical ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 20pounds independently and 50pounds with assistance.
- Occasional local travel for bank deposits, training, or meetings.
- Ability to access all exterior and interior areas of the community safely.
- Routine physical activities including lifting and moving up to 20pounds independently.
Hourly rate: $26.75‑$28.75. Eligible for quarterly or annual bonuses (corporate positions) or weekly/monthly bonuses (onsite positions). Housing discount up to 40% at Greystar communities may apply.
