Job Description
Summary of Position:
The Back of House Supervisor at Big Chill Beach Club is a hands‑on kitchen leader responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, food quality, and team performance during service. This role works closely with the Kitchen Manager and BOH team to help execute prep, service, food safety, and team development standards in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, beachfront environment. This position focuses on shift execution, coaching, and operational consistency — serving as a go‑to resource for the kitchen team while helping maintain Big Chill’s food quality, culture, and energy.
This role is ideal for a strong kitchen leader who thrives in service, leads by example, and helps bring the Big Chill experience to life every shift. Must Enjoy the Ride!
- Lead by example on the line and support BOH team during prep and service
- Assist with coaching and development of team members through real‑time feedback and support
- Reinforce company culture, core values, and “How We Roll” standards during shifts
- Support onboarding and training of new kitchen team members
- Act as a point of contact for BOH staff during shifts, helping resolve operational or team challenges
- Maintain a positive, energetic presence that supports morale and team engagement
- Support daily kitchen operations including prep, line execution, and service flow
- Ensure food is prepared and plated according to BCBC recipes, specs, and quality standards
- Assist with prep list execution and ensure product readiness for service
- Perform line checks prior to service and support station checkouts post‑shift
- Help monitor product levels and communicate low inventory or ordering needs to KM/Chef
- Assist with maintaining cleaning schedules, sanitation standards, and equipment care
- Support food safety standards, temperature controls, and proper product storage
- Jump into stations as needed to support service and guest experience
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Support opening, closing, and seasonal setup / breakdown responsibilities
- Help protect company assets through proper equipment use and care
- Live the brand and act as a Big Chill Beach Club ambassador
- At least 1 year of leadership experience in a high‑volume kitchen
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be Serv Safe certified
- Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to balance personal & professional life
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Frequently walk and occasionally bend over, twist, kneel, climb, stoop and crouch. Requires ability to lift up to 55 pounds and maneuver 170 pounds.
