Retail Sales Department Manager

Boscov's Department Store is seeking a Retail Sales Department Manager to lead daily operations within our Retail Operations team. In this role, you will coach a sales team, drive results, and ensure an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced, full-line department store. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, merchandising, inventory control, and sales reporting, while upholding Boscov's family-oriented, community-focused culture. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities for long-term growth in a stable, family-owned retail organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop sales associates to achieve department goals and exceptional customer service.
• Oversee daily department operations, including scheduling, opening/closing, and cash handling.
• Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and product knowledge.
• Monitor inventory, stock levels, and loss prevention standards.
• Analyze sales reports to identify trends and implement action plans.
• Ensure visual standards and store policies are consistently followed.
• Resolve customer issues with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
• Collaborate with store and corporate teams on promotions and events.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members.
• Promote Boscov's family-oriented culture and community-focused service.
