StrategicAccount Executive (SAE)
A Strategic Account Executive (SAE) serves as the senior level liaison for our Employer - Coalition client segment. This is an excellent opportunity to work with Executive Leadership both internally and externally. As a best‑in‑class healthcare sales professional, you will use your expertise to grow our business through renewal, retention, and up‑sell of existing clients.
Key Responsibilities- Leading the strategic account team as the quarterback and having full ownership for client happiness and service delivery.
- Developing strong internal and client relationships through proactive interactions and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams, including account management, clinical, product, operations, and underwriting.
- Influencing client up‑sell opportunities through consultative selling skills by recommending CVS Health solutions to meet key client needs.
- Developing and delivering quarterly and annual reporting to clients on drug trend and financial performance, facilitating identification of client cost‑saving opportunities.
- Executing client renewals by building relationships with key client partners and asking questions that lead to mutually beneficial innovative pharmacy benefit plan designs.
Success will be driven by a desire to grow revenue for the assigned book of business and achieve above‑average client satisfaction. Leadership for the account team and the ability to influence others to deliver results will be key factors in your success. Understanding of the PBM and managed care environment is critical and staying up to date on market trends will enable you to position CVS Health programs and solutions efficiently to client decision makers.
Your contributions will align CVS Health for long‑term growth in the ambitious PBM marketplace.
This position can be located anywhere in the U.S. with the ability to work remotely. You must have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time. Travel may require flights, overnight stays, local travel, and short‑notice travel as necessary.
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of overall related work experience
- 5+ years of cumulative account management or equivalent client‑facing experience in healthcare
- 3+ years PBM experience within the sales, account management, or client‑facing role
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point
- Must possess a valid and current driver’s license
- Must have the ability to travel
- Account Executive experience or equivalent client‑facing experience in pharmacy or PBM industry
- Experience managing employer groups
- Proven sales experience Education
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience may be considered.

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is: $68,000.00 - $. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
